Size: approx. 2.5 cm

Cimbex sp.
Better leave this to genus only. A very pale specimen, and could be a teneral C. americana. But it bears a resemblance to C. semidea.

Thank you very much for replying. I've now done some searching on this group which doesn't appear to be very common. I think it may be a Cimbex luteus. Could the light colour be because it is newly emerged?

Not necessarily.
Cimbex seems to have at least some degree of individual variation, so I wouldn't rule out the possibility that this is simply as dark as it will get.
