Holopogon? - Holopogon phaeonotus

Holopogon? - Holopogon phaeonotus
Little Stony Point (Cold Spring), Putnam County, New York, USA
June 21, 2007
Size: 5 mm
Smallest robber I've seen.

Moved
Moved from Holopogon.

I'm pretty sure
that's Holopogon phaeonotus.

Excellent
Call. And they are remarkable tiny. Several species up that way. H guttulus, oriens, phaenotus and vockerothi.

Thank you Herschel
Thank you Herschel.

I forgot to mention that they are the least skittish robbers I've seen. I was able to hold up a white balance card behind one to get an accurate measurement. Practically had to hit it to get it to move.

These
Stem tip perchers are made for tripod photography.
