Tabanid - Chrysops

I'm confident this is a tabanid, but that's where my fly knowledge ends. I have several other pics of this specimen, if there is anything not visible on this one that would aid in identification please let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Female Chrysops
a dorsal view to show abdomen and wing pattern will lead to a species identification
