Arenivaga cockroach - Arenivaga bolliana

Arenivaga cockroach - Arenivaga bolliana
San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas, USA
May 4, 2016
Size: 12 mm
I found this one yesterday in one of my pitfall traps I've set up in the sort of scrubland forest I live in, semi-arid outside the rainy season, with a variety of flora from twisty oaks to mesquite to epiphytes to cacti to flowers of all kinds.
I think this roach is Arenivaga tonkawa but know that other species of the genus may be found in my general area.
I tried to brush/blow off the coco fiber substrate and get some better photos of their coloring and pattern in sunlight. Hope this helps with the ID! :)

Arenivaga sp.
Appears to be an immature A. bolliana

Awesome!
Can you tell the gender yet or not until it matures? I shall watch for signs of growth and update! :)

it kinda looks like a male
but I'd wait for few more molts to be certain. Males eventually get large wingbuds so they become easy to tell apart from females :)
