As long as I have been photographing this filter fly, I'm wondering if other posts of Clogmia albipunctata are serendipity. Can these flies actually be ID'd?

All the same
There is one cosmopolitan synanthropic species, Clogmia albipunctata, and some more exotic species you will never see. http://www.diptera.info/forum/viewthread.php?forum_id=5&thread_id=58459#post_248970
