Identification
Like A. innuba, but larger,
head not distinctly bicolorous;
scutellum mostly dark:
Range
Minnesota to southern New England, to south central Texas and Florida.
Habitat
Found on foliage and flowers of grasses, herbs, shrubs. Also comes to lights.
Season
Adults most often found March-May, but adults and larvae may be found on roots of crops, such as cabbage, in winter (South Carolina).
Food
On broomsedge and roses; adults and larvae at cabbage roots in December.
