Small Hunting Wasp - Mesostenus thoracicus - Male

Found this wasp flying about my parents compost bins, landing briefly and then hovering a few inches before landing again. Not sure what it was hunting but it was quite diligent. Caught with a small butterfly net and place in the fridge for an hour and a half to get some pictures while it was lethargic.
