Wolf Spider--S. avida? - Tigrosa annexa

Wolf Spider--S. avida? - Tigrosa annexa
Seneca, Oconee County, South Carolina, USA
May 22, 2016
I thought this little fellow looked way too skinny. The abdomen is much smaller than the carapace, and I wondered if he was starving or if in fact he was a male in search of females. I don't see any outward signs of that, and yet he looks boyish to me....long legs, small body. I swear I thought he looked like S. mccooki, but I know that can't be since mccooki is a Western spider. So, possibly S. avida? But I don't really think it looks like avida.

Male
After looking back, I was just thinking that this might be in the genus Tigrosa.
