Dolomedes scriptus
Ely, Minnesota, Minnesota, USA
June 10, 2007
Dock Spider sunning itself on a dock of all things in Ely Minnesota. There were a couple of them but only one brave enough to come out from under the dock again after being disturbed by our boat.

Fishing spider.
This is a fishing spider in the genus Dolomedes. Not sure which species, but you might compare your images to ones in the guide pages already. Most, if not all, Dolomedes species are figured there. Nice portrait of this one!
