Cedar Rapids/Ellis Park Area, Linn County, Iowa, USA
June 30, 2007
Size: nickel sized
I found this peculiar moth on my screen door yesterday morning. Around the size of a nickel, white with brown fuzzy spots. It's colors and pattern reminded me of a type of fungus that grows on old and dead trees in the forest. I would love it if someone could help me identify what this is exactly.
