1047.99 -- Suzuki's Promolactis Moth -- Promolactis suzukiella
...a fairly recent introduction, the first specimen that I know of was taken nearby at the Severn Wildlife Management Area in 2003 or perhaps a bit earlier. It sat in a collector's cabinet until I produced a photograph of one in 2004. It has been very common in my yard in Bowie since at least 2004, and I now know of it from Oakton, VA to Brooklyn, NY. So far as I know the genitalia have not yet been compared with specimens from its Asian homeland, so the ID remains tentative, based on photographs.

Neat!
Thanks once again Bob.

Moved to moths, not sure where this would go.
