Black 'gold leaf' banded caterpillar, I.D. please. - Spilosoma congrua

This gorgeous caterpillar was crossing our driveway, it was moving in fast zig-zag motion and I put an alder leaf in its path to slow it down for a pic., which it eagerly began eating. The band's looked exactly like gold leaf!
