Black & Brown Wild Tarantula? - Aphonopelma hentzi - Male
Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, USA
June 11, 2016
Size: ~4"
What kind of tarantula is this? It was found in the wild along a hiking trail...

Aphonopelma sp.
The "go to" species in much of the region would be A. hentzi, however, these are somewhat difficult to ID to species level. As a side note, this is an adult male (in search of females).
