Size: 1 ¼";
Total length with legs extended is about 1 ¼". Length of cephalothorax + abdomen is about ¼". And if somebody can recommend a good field guide to spiders, I would appreciate it.

A friend of mine believes this is Leucauge venusta, orchard orb weaver. Is that correct?
