I found this ant in my livingroom a couple of days ago. I killed it. It's shell was very hard and it was hard to kill. My son he had seen this before. What is this? My son maybe interested in doing a project. THX Also do these things sting?

Yes, these are wingless female wasps, so they can leave a painful sting. They have a very hard exoskeleton which does make them hard to kill or smash if that be the case. What kind of project would your son do? Perhaps I can give you some information.
