Beaded Lacewing - Lomamyia

Beaded Lacewing - Lomamyia
Parsons Run, Duluth, Fulton County, Georgia, USA
May 8, 2004
These all have the distinctive concavity in the forewing. If not for that they might be mistaken for brown lacewings. Not all species in this family have that wingshape, so I wonder if we might be confusing them sometimes. The keys I've seen all rely on wing veination, which often doesn't help with photos.

#12462 Identification – Lomamyia sp.
Identification confirmed.

Just came across a good tip
One source (1) says that the antennae of beaded lacewings are shorter than the forewing, whereas another source (2) notes that those of brown lacewings are as long or longer. Seems like a good way to distinguish them.
