Catocala micronympha

Catocala micronympha
Nags Head, Dare County, North Carolina, USA
July 5, 2007
Size: approx. 2 cm.
This is a worn specimen, and I'm sure does not help with identification. I was leaning toward a Charming underwing but it is only a guess.

Little Bride Underwing
This looks closer to a Catocala micronympha, # 8876. Even for a worn specimen, the dark median patch coming from the costa is nearly a spot-on match for a variation of micronympha. Take a look at this MPG page (particularly the bottom 2 photos) and see what you think.

Thanks
I'd have to agree with you. Thanks for the help!
