Sabatia beetle - Diabrotica cristata - Male Female
Pella, Marion County, Iowa, USA
June 29, 2016
Size: 8-10mm
an easy to miss beetle if not on bright pink background- but only observed on Sabatia kennedyana usually beetle single stationary among stamens, occasionally observed mating. Are they attracted to Sabatia particularly or do they simply find the flowers a convenient bowl?
