Drosophilidae larva? - Fannia

Drosophilidae larva? - Fannia
Houston, Harris County, Texas, USA
July 1, 2007
I have no idea what they look like, and I couldn't find any photos of them, but it seems likely, as it was on rotting watermelon.

Moved
Moved from Flies.

probably Fannia
These larvae are probably Fannia...they are not Stratiomyidae

Thanks
Norm and Matt.

Could be
either Fannia (Muscidae/Faniidae) larvae or Stratiomyidae. Hard to tell though even with the quality of the pic.
