Wasp - Gasteruption - Female
Carlos Avery WMA, Anoka County, Minnesota, USA
July 8, 2007
I understand these are difficult to determine. This is all new to me (wasps, bees, flies). Just thought it was a beautiful thing. Saw some similar initially listed as ichneumonidae, but I have no clue.

Gasteruptiid in the genus Gasteruption
I just found a very similar request from yesterday. The conclusion was: Gasteruptiid in the genus Gasteruption. I'll have to see what that means now...

Gasteruption info
and images can be found in the guide here. Good ID!
