Male - Red-legged Centris Bee
Nice shooting! This is a male
Centris rhodopus
. The males have green eyes and the females have red ones. They are distinguished from other closely related species, by the red legs.

I appreciate the information you've provided, on my way to learn some more.
EDIT: I just realized that I have photographs of females from earlier this year (early May) at the same location. Great to put them together for a more complete story.
