For a bonus could I get the mites ID?

I agree with metrioptera
The red down the center of the pronotum and abdomen - for a tree cricket in the northeast U.S. = Oecanthus latipennis.

If this were in the west, it would be Oecanthus californicus.

Oecanthus nymph
Appears to be O. latipennis to me. Nancy will be able to confirm
