'halloween' click beetle - Aeolus mellillus

Size: about 5 mm
In woodland leaf litter. Might be the common and widespread A. mellillus but A. amabilis occurs in Ontario too, and I couldn't find any images of it. These ones also visited our porch light in May and June. More links and info in Guide.
