Size: Quarter size
photo taken just after sunrise so spider is backlit by the sun ahich makes the spider appear to be a glowing red. orange. without the sun it is a dull reddish brown color I am intrigued with the design on the underside of the abdomen. not sure if this is a female, male, adult or immature

to tell sex and age from images.

Great question, unfortunately very little is known on the function of markings in spiders with what is believed to be 'poor' eyesight, which is most spiders...
Most 'professional' and 'expert' time is wasted on taxonomy as opposed to what really makes spiders interesting... morphology, behavior, and life history.

Thank you. I am used to the Black Widow with the hourglass on the abdomen.. as a BEWARE... its poisonous. so I was curious if that is attributed to other spiders.
