Size: ~ 1.5 mm
Opportunity. When the right moment arrives ... the Aphidiid takes flight (upper left), landing on the opposite side of the plant among the aphids. She begins to oviposit, gradually making her way across the patch and back to the other side of the plant.
(I could not get a shot of the actual ovipositing action, since the space was too tight to maneuver the camera into}
