Crab spider mating and wasp - Misumena vatia - male - female

Crab spider mating and wasp - Misumena vatia - Male Female
Lardeau, Kootenay west, British Columbia, Canada
June 26, 2009
Size: 1/2 inch approximately
The wasp had been caught before the crab spiders started to mate, if that's what is happening.

No problem - Thank you for this lovely image
It is always so strange to see those tiny males curled up on that huge female abdomen. Lots of interesting things here on BugGuide. The more often you visit, the more you will see.
