Spider from Bear Lodge Mtns, WY - Larinioides patagiatus

Spider from Bear Lodge Mtns, WY - Larinioides patagiatus
Cook Lake, Crook County, Wyoming, USA
June 11, 2005

Moved
Moved from Furrow spiders. This ID is based on documented findings in WY and what can be seen of this spider. Because there is a lot missing in this shot (pattern wise), the ID is based more on the commonality of this species in WY.

Moved from Spiders.

Looks
like a gray cross spider. At least the same genus.

Orb Weaver.
Nice image, but unfortunately I can only tell you it is some kind of orb weaver in the family Araneidae. It is very difficult, even with a perfect image, to identify most spiders to genus, let alone species. You are certainly welcome to post more images of her here, and maybe we can get a more specific ID for you.
