August 7, 2016
Size: 15-20 mm
Found this on the rail of a bridge over a creek running through a wooded area. Looks similar to Euclea delphinii images in the Guide. I'd like a confirmation or correction, please.

But E. nanina has been seen right across the border
in Halifax and Durham counties in NC

Thanks,
I'll be on the lookout!

Moved from Euclea.

Thanks!
I appreciate species confirmation!

Our reading of the info is that there is only one species
that far north.

Thanks, J & J!
I appreciate that info.

Yes, looks to be Euclea

but our understanding is that there is some confusion on caterpillar species ID. Will try to look into it.

Thanks, J & J!
I realize that a species ID may be impossible, but I appreciate knowing probable genus.
