Citheronia regalis

Citheronia regalis
Sevierville, Tennessee, USA
July 11, 2007
Size: 3 inches
Last week I was in Tennessee on vacation. While walking down a sidewalk at the Bass Pro Shop in Sevierville I almost stepped on this moth. My wife pointed it out to me. This thing was very large...maybe 3 inches across. There had just been a heavy downpour an hour or so earlier.
