Turkey Creek Nature Preserve in Solon, Johnson County, Iowa, USA
August 13, 2016
Size: Large. Very large.
ID request is for the big bee on top. Saw several of these extremely large bumblebees on thistle flowers (and once on beebalm). Appears to have black on T1, yellow on T2 and 3. I suspect it's a black and gold bumblebee.
