Cricket - Camptonotus carolinensis

Cricket - Camptonotus carolinensis
Charleston, Charleston County, South Carolina, USA
July 15, 2007
This fat fellow seems to match the Carolina Leafrolling Cricket... is it? It seemed to be a cross between a katydid and cricket!

The antenna were easily 4-5 times the length of the body

i found one
i found one of these in montana Y???

Female Carolina leafroller.
It is the Carolina leafrolling cricket, and a female (ovipositor turned up over the back is a good clue), but she may still be immature. Great image.
