Arachnid - Neoscona arabesca

Arachnid - Neoscona arabesca
Waterbury, Washington County, Vermont, USA
August 13, 2016
Size: 15mm approx

Moved from Spiders.

Maybe the flash brightened the foreground
so the background looks dark. Interesting that it is daytime, because we had wanted to say N. arabesca which is often seen in the day but hesitated because we thought it was night.

Neoscona
at that size and at night, this might be crucifera, but difficult to say with certainty. Let's see what Lynette or Laura think.

Time of day
It was about 3pm. Not sure what led to the black background, I should know that though.
