Male.
This specimen is a male. Females are substantially larger, pointed apex to abdomen. Fabulous images, Sean!

I keyed this out to N. laevicollis LeConte, using the key in Linsley and Chemsak, VII 1.
1:Elytra with deep, tranverse, subapical impression, apices reflexed>3:Pronotum without a longitudinal sulcus, or at most with a shallow, narrow line>5:Antennae slender, segments 3-10 of more or less uniform width, pubescence at sides not thick and golden>6:First segment of posterior tarsi slender, at least 1.5 times as long as remaining segments...etc...
