Looks like a type of ladybird beetle. Could not match the pattern for proper ID.

Calligrapha sp. are pretty difficult to identify, but fairly food-specific.
The leaves on the image do not belong to one of the host trees of C.scalaris, but may be dogwood.

Chrysomelidae
This looks to be an Elm Calligrapha (Calligrapha scalaris). Nice find!
