A Braconid Wasp (dorsal) - Zelomorpha arizonensis - female

A Braconid Wasp (dorsal) - Zelomorpha arizonensis - Female
Tonopah Desert, Maricopa County, Arizona, USA
June 1, 2015
Size: 8mm
This wasp looks very much like a female Zelomorpha arizonensis. (Ashamed 1900)
The mid-legs and fore-legs seem to be a little bit darker than those shown, on the wasps in the other images.

Here is a link to the second one that I filmed: ♀ She has red colored coxa, but otherwise looks identical.

Moved
Moved from Agathidinae.

Thanks Ross and Dr. Sharkey!
We will place her here for now, pending any future adjustments to this genus.

Dr. Sharkey's comments…
"They fit my current concept of the species. If you ask me again in a few months I will have a definitive answer because I am sequencing a bunch of them".

See reference here.

Moved
Moved from Braconid Wasps.

Thanks Ross, I'm putting her into the subfamily, for now.

Agathidinae - possibly Zelomorpha (female)…
The large eyes, stout body, non-petiolate areolet, and short ovipositor are suggestive for a female in this genus. Will ask Dr. Sharkey to confirm.

See reference here.
