Cricket molt? - Ceuthophilus

Cricket molt? - Ceuthophilus
Putnam Valley, New York, Putnam County, New York, USA
July 13, 2007
is this a cricket molt? as it was just an empty casing.

Moved from Camel Crickets.

Fungal attack?
Looks too solid to be 'empty,' and in an unusual position, too. I wonder if this is not a camel cricket victimized by a fungal parasite.
