wolf spider? - Plexippus paykulli

wolf spider? - Plexippus paykulli
Tustin, Orange County, California, USA
July 13, 2007
Size: 3/4" or so
This was found scampering across my stovetop. Moves very quickly. I was convinced it was Rabidosa rabida (sounds cool, anyway!) but the stripes on the abdomen are backwards. Hard to see in the photo is a light chevron pattern on the abdomen.

Yes
That looks very much like my specimen, especially the dark front legs + the markings around the eyes. Thanks for your help.
