Carolina mantis? - Stagmomantis carolina - Female

Reared up in response to a young blue jay that was alarming right next to it. The mantis won the standoff and remained reared up like this for several minutes. Next time I checked, it was gone, so I didn't get a picture in a more relaxed pose.
