I'm no expert but...
It looks like a southern flannel moth caterpillar to me (Megalopyge opercularis)
Like this one:

 
I am also not an expert,
but I agree with Megalopyge opercularis.
It is a better match than Lagoa crispata, which is mentioned on the info page of M. opercularis.
