Thanks for the species id Ted!
Moved from Gold-pitted Borers.

Chrysobothris femorata...
...The distinctly reddish elytral apices and linear posterior third of the elytral margin distinguish this species from its many close relatives.

Thanks Ted, you ran this one
Thanks Ted, you ran this one through the new key for me also. Confirmed it as a C. femorata male.

I agree, ran this specimen through the Fisher Key and Wellso's new key to the Chrysobothris femorata complex. This is a male too. I'll have to take a pic of this one under the scope for you to add with these others, Tom. The elytral foveae of this specimen is a nice pink on this particular C. femorata.

Chrysobothris femorata complex
I would have to lump this one in the Chrysobothris species complex. Without having a specimen of this to compare with Wellso's new key to this species complex it would nearly if not entirly impossible to id this to species. Have to stay has a Chrysobothris species in the femorata complex.

Joshua,
I saved all these Bups for you. Maybe that way they can be identified to species.

Thanks!!!
I should be getting Wellso's new key soon. I will try my luck to identify these odd chrysobothris specimens that you have collected. I do know that there will be some name changes and even some new species.

That's good
It should be interesting to see what new changes there are.
