Yellow triangle job - Caloptilia bimaculatella

Yellow triangle job - Caloptilia bimaculatella
Fairfield, Wayne County, Illinois, USA
June 14, 2007
MPG has a pinned image labeled Caloptilia belfrageella that looks similar. All-leps has images of C. bimaculatella, C. burgessiella, and C. cornusella that are similar as well. Looks like I'm stuck unless one of you can help. Oh, yes. At light, at night. :)

Moved from Caloptilia.

Caloptilia
This is C. bimaculatella. It is pretty common in Illinois. The larva feeds on maples, probably most frequently on silver maple, Acer saccharinum.
