Was smaller than most giant swallowtails
One thing to note was that this was significantly smaller than most giant swallowtail. My wife and I estimate that it was probably 4-4.5" from tip to tip.

Generally, aberrations in butterflies are random.
So the chances of seeing the same random pattern again is low, especially when it is already rare to find such an extraordinary one as it is! Some species may show higher rates of aberrations, but I've never heard of this happening to this particular swallowtail before.
