Within the United States, Z. exsanguis is only known from Texas. In Florida, the species are limited to cervicalis, longipes, luridus and tetracanthus. Even though it is difficult to see, I believe the pronotum has the two discal tubercles found in Z. tetracanthus. That brownish color pattern and skinny habitus are more reminiscent of a male of that species as well.
