Taking nectar on a low member of the Asteraceae family. This is a Heterostylum--thanks to Joel Kits for his detailed identification work. (Originally thought to be a Bombylius, identification corrected 6 June 2006.)

Patrick, do you have a clearer shot of the wing of this fly? Or perhaps you could upload a larger resolution version of this shot? I saw a drawing of an Anastoechus species today that resembled this, but sorting out the genus would require a clear look at the venation.
