Species ID for this specimen provided by BOLD Systems. DNA for this specimen was a 98.22% match with Mompha achlyognoma. the next nearest match was the very similar looking Mompha sexstrigella (1) at a 92.83% match.

These two species are examined in the PDF document "IDENTITY OF MOMPHA SEXSTRIGELLA (BRAUN), WITH TWO NEW NEARCTIC SPECIES" and provide images of the wings which show the difference between M. achlyognoma and M. sexstrigella.
