Moved

Um, did you mean to move this to labruscae?
You said before it was fasciatus.

Whoops
Yes, I moved it to the wrong spot.

Strange
This is a female Eumorpha fasciatus... is it dead? It looks like it was greased or like painted?

Moved
Moved from ID Request.

I'd guess a melanistic Eumorp
I'd guess a melanistic Eumorpha fasciatus, but the lines don't quite seem to match. Maybe a Neotropical stray or escaped rearing?

thank you!
as another commenter suggested, i believe this to be a white-lined sphinx, but melanistic!

edit: actually i think the species you mentioned has closer coloring than a white-lined sphinx

Looks like a white-lined sphinx (Hyles lineata) that was hit
with something (oil-based insecticidal spray?) that seriously discolored it.

Wish I could help ...
The abdomen definitely looks like a sphinx, but I don't recognize.
