Size: 24mm
I saw this while on a walk and took a quick (not focused very well) shot of it. Anyone know what will emerge from it? I searched the guide, but couldn't find it.

Megalopyge opercularis - Southern Flannel Moth
I found a similar image in the guide...... http://bugguide.net/node/view/4476/bgimage

Sure looks like it to me, but I'm not an expert. I've seen these peculiar looking caterpillars and didn't know they would sting. Glad I never picked one up.
