A Burying Beetle Garden Party - Necrophila americana

A Burying Beetle Garden Party - Necrophila americana
Red Wing, Goodhue County, Minnesota, USA
July 14, 2007
I came upon this 'Garden Party' of Burying Beetles and a snake carcass. There were 2 different species of beetle here - I believe one is the American Burying Beetle - Necrophila americana and the other one is Oiceoptoma noveboracense. If that second one is correct, is there a common name available for it? It would be great if someone could verify this for me. Thanks. There are 3 other images of the 'party' to follow this one.
