Conehead - Neoconocephalus - female

Conehead - Neoconocephalus - Female
Austin, Travis County, Texas, USA
July 9, 2007
Size: 2-3"
Saved this Katydid while mowing the lawn. It was an excellent mimic of a blade of grass. Lost it several times before I finally caught it and moved it to safety.

Female.
Don't know which species this is, but may not be that difficult to determine....eventually:-) Moving to Neoconocephalus for now.

Thanks, Eric
I'll mark it as a female.
