Size: 2-3 inches
I found this pregnant spider crawling around in a crack of a boulder and had to photograph it. I have no idea what species it is, or if its posionous,etc. Any info at all would be appreciated.

well thank you all very much. I was so psyched when I saw this that i just had to know what kind of spider it was. It being pregnant just made everything so awesome. Thanks again guys

thanks! are you positive about that? and what kind of dolomedes spider would it be? there seems to be 9, from what im reading. Also, is it common?

Jeff is our leading spider expert here, so you can trust his ID. This is probably D. tenebrosus and yes, they are quite common. They are not dangerously venomous, either.

is a Dolomedes fishing spider with egg sac.
